envida's history
envida (formally Amblicab) was founded in 1971 as a program of Health Association of the Pikes Peak Region. Its purpose was to address the limited transportation options for disabled persons living in Colorado Springs.
Our mission
Over the years, envida has grown and evolved to better meet the needs of disabled individuals in our community, and now specializes in providing accessible, door-through-door transportation for those with disabilities, older adults, and low-income individuals.
In 2015 the organization integrated homecare with its services so that today envida promotes access and supports independent living with dignity through both transportation and homecare. We take pride in being a visionary leader that adapts to changing market needs and expectations.
MISSION
To promote access and support independent living with dignity.
VISION
To lead the nation in integrating services that connect people to their community
