Mountain Metro ends contract with envida after more than 25 years
The City of Colorado Springs’ Mountain Metro Transit notified envida that its contract will expire June 30, 2019, and it will NOT be renewed. envida will continue to provide rides for anyone over age 60 and for those with Medicaid eligibility who need non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Any and all other riders currently funded by the City will need to seek rides through other sources and may call One Ride with Mountain Metro for assistance.

FTA awards envida $250K for innovative transportation
The Federal Transportation Authority (FTA) announced the 2018 recipients of its Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) grant program. envida of Colorado Springs is proud to receive nearly $250,000 for its project Mobility as a Service (MaaS): Changing and Saving Lives.

CO: Calhan connection bringing public transportation to rural El Paso County
A local nonprofit is offering Calhan residents a service they say they’ve never had: reliable public transportation. Calhan Connection will allow eastern El Paso County residents to take a bus to and from the Colorado Springs area for $5 each way.

The September meeting of the Community Outreach Coalition in Calhan featured a presentation by Cari Davis of the Colorado Springs Health Foundation. The foundation was established in 2001 through the citizens’ vote to lease Memorial Health System to UCHealth.
