envida launches new digital technology for ride scheduling
COLORADO
SPRINGS, CO (April 8, 2024) – envida, a trusted transportation provider
proudly serving the Pikes Peak region for over 50 years, is thrilled to launch
a new ride scheduling software designed to change how riders access and utilize
services.

are excited to announce the launch of our new ride scheduling software, which
will improve both the accessibility and convenience of our services for our
community,” said Eric Esch, Director of Transportation and Operations at
envida.
The
new ride scheduling platform, provided by Ecolane, a leading provider of
intelligent web-based transit scheduling software, offers envida a suite of
powerful tools and services to manage, monitor, and assess system and ride
performance in real-time.
“We
are proud to partner with Ecolane, whose innovative software will enhance our
ability to provide efficient and reliable transportation services to the
community. We are also proud of and would like to recognize our longstanding
partnership with Silver Key Senior Services and Fountain Valley Senior Center
who we have worked with and shared the same transportation software since
2019,” said Gail Nehls, CEO at envida.
As
a part of this launch, envida riders will soon be able to access an on-demand
rider app on the app store. Requesting trips through an app means riders can
submit their trip information anytime – not just when envida is open.
Through
the app, riders will also be able to see the GPS location of their ride,
meaning they can track their ride in real-time to determine when their Driver
will arrive. Trip reminder notifications will also offer the opportunity for
people to cancel their ride if no longer needed.
Computer-aided
systems like this allow transit systems to offer more service hours for the
same cost because of maximizing vehicle capacities.
