Purchase to bring additional transportation and home care services to individuals throughout El Paso, Pueblo, Teller counties and beyond
Colorado Springs, Colo. – May 16, 2022 – envida, a Colorado Springs nonprofit who brings over 50 years of transportation and home care experience to individuals throughout El Paso, Pueblo and Teller counties is pleased to announce that it has officially acquired Coach Transportation, a Colorado Springs based transportation organization that transports individuals to and from medical and additional critical appointments.
The acquisition enables envida to increase its capacity to serve the community in many ways including:
- Expand routes in Eastern El Paso County and into portions of Denver and Pueblo
- Provide more on-demand rides to individuals across the community
- Expand and develop our workforce
- Expand our transportation fleet under the safety and brand of envida
- Reduce wait times and time traveling on a vehicle to get to appointments
“We are proud of the impact envida has had in the community and excited about how acquisition of Coach Transportation will allow us to increase our services throughout our region to our customers; many of them who rely on envida solely for their critical transportation needs,” said envida’s CEO, Gail Nehls. “We will now be able to increase our fleet, ridership and expand into more rural counties, as well as into Lowery, Lincoln counties and into portions of the Denver Metro area and Pueblo.”
The acquisition will now double envida’s fleet allowing for more individuals to get to their necessary medical appointments, work, shopping trips, school, meetings and more. envida also plans on adding more on-demand trips where individuals can call and request a ride within several hours. The terms of the acquisition will not be disclosed. envida will retain 100% of Coach Transportation’s workforce.
